Healing Point Veterinary Acupuncture, PLLC was started by Dr. Pollock in 2016.  She became interested in veterinary acupuncture after seeing it successfully improve the quality of life for patients in ways that conventional medicine could not.  Following her desire to provide this same type of improvement in quality of life, she studied with and received a certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute in Gainesville, Florida. She has also completed the course work and certification for Chinese Veterinary Food Therapy.  Her professional goals are to provide gentle and personalized care for each patient using Acupuncture, Herbs, and Food Therapy.

       As a child, Dr. Pollock had the privilege of living with a variety of different animals growing up including horses, cows, pigs, chicken, ducks, dogs, cats, parakeets and rabbits. She quickly became passionate about helping animals achieve their optimum health and quality of life. Following this passion, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Veterinary Science and then continued on to receive a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Her experience includes working with exotics and small animals in Texas, working with the SPCA in San Diego, California and for the past 15 years practicing in a small animal hospital in Falls Church. Her greatest joy is improving her patient’s mobility and quality of life. Dr. Pollock is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture and American Veterinary Medical Association.
